Tottenham Hotspur have suffered yet another injury setback, with Dejan Kulusevski set to miss at least two games due to a foot injury, according to reports.
Spurs have endured a season plagued by fitness concerns, with key players across the pitch spending significant time on the sidelines. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have missed large chunks of the season, while Radu Dragusin tore his ACL at the start of the year.
In attack, the likes of James Maddison, Wilson Odobert, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, Richarlison, and Timo Werner have all had spells out injured, adding to the team’s selection woes.
However, Kulusevski has been a rare constant, featuring in all 42 of Tottenham’s games across all competitions this season. That impressive streak is now set to end after he sustained a foot injury, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Kulusevski to Miss Key Fixtures

The report did not provide specific details about the injury but confirmed that Kulusevski will be unavailable for:
- Thursday’s Europa League last-16 clash against AZ Alkmaar
- Sunday’s crucial Premier League match against Bournemouth
The last time Spurs played a match without Kulusevski was back in January 2024 when they drew with Manchester United.
Kulusevski’s absence will be a significant blow to Ange Postecoglou’s side, as the Swede has created more chances and played more passes into the penalty area than any other Spurs player this season.
His unique combination of creativity, technical ability, and work rate has made him a vital asset, operating in multiple attacking roles.
Postecoglou’s Response to Tottenham’s Injury Crisis
Postecoglou has already navigated the worst of Tottenham’s injury struggles this season, and he now faces another test of squad depth with Kulusevski’s absence.
Despite injuries, the Spurs boss has remained adamant about trusting his squad, even benching Kulusevski during last week’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City.
“There’s no point having a squad and I can’t be sitting here bemoaning not having a squad and then not use it [when I do],” Postecoglou said after the City defeat.
“I think that’d be highly hypocritical of me.”
Now, with Kulusevski forced to the sidelines, Postecoglou will have no choice but to reshuffle his attack once again. Spurs will need others to step up as they aim to progress in Europe and maintain their push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
