Mohamed Salah Reacts After Breaking Premier League Goal Record Against Tottenham

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah expressed his pride after setting a historic Premier League record during the Reds’ dramatic 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Salah, who delivered a masterclass with two goals and two assists, became the first player in Premier League history to reach double figures for both goals and assists before Christmas. The Egyptian superstar now boasts 15 goals and 11 assists in just 16 league games this season.

While Salah admitted the record wasn’t a specific target, he acknowledged the significance of the achievement.

“I didn’t think about it before the game, but I’m glad I have done it,” Salah said. “It is something that makes me proud. I’ll keep working hard.”

Climbing Liverpool’s All-Time Scoring Charts

The milestones didn’t stop there for Salah, who moved up to fourth place on Liverpool’s all-time top scorers list. With 229 goals, Salah surpassed Billy Liddell’s 228 and now has Gordon Hodgson’s 241 goals in his sights for third place.

“It is great to achieve that at such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the game,” Salah said. “Wherever I am going to end my career, I am happy about it.”
