Rodrygo Clears Up Transfer Speculation

Real Madrid star Rodrygo has put an end to rumors linking him with a blockbuster transfer to Saudi Arabia, insisting that he has no plans to leave the Spanish giants anytime soon.

Following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe in the summer, speculation surrounding Rodrygo’s future has intensified, with reports suggesting that Al Hilal view him as a potential replacement for Neymar. The Saudi club recently terminated Neymar’s contract ahead of his expected return to Santos, and Rodrygo was reportedly one of their top transfer targets alongside Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

However, speaking ahead of Madrid’s Champions League clash with Manchester City, Rodrygo dismissed any talk of an exit.

“I don’t know much about offers, that’s up to my father, who is my agent,” Rodrygo said. “Honestly, I’m very happy here, I want to stay for many years, and I’m grateful. I don’t know if the club has received any offers.”

Guardiola Praises “Unstoppable” Rodrygo

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who has also been loosely linked with an interest in Rodrygo, heaped praise on the 23-year-old Brazilian, calling him “almost unstoppable” ahead of their Champions League showdown.

Rodrygo, in response, appreciated the recognition from one of football’s most respected coaches.

“Happy [to hear the praise], because he is a great coach in the history of football,” he said. “But I hope that everything goes well for Madrid.”

Rodrygo’s Role in Madrid’s Attack

Despite competition in Madrid’s star-studded attack, Rodrygo has remained a key figure under Carlo Ancelotti. The Brazilian forward has continued to play an influential role alongside Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and now Kylian Mbappe.

With Madrid still competing for La Liga and Champions League glory, Rodrygo appears fully committed to the club’s ambitions, and his recent comments should reassure fans that he intends to remain at the Bernabeu for the foreseeable future.
