According to Sky Sports, Palmeiras defender Vitor Reis is set to arrive in England on Thursday ahead of completing his move to Manchester City.
The report states that the 19-year-old Brazilian will undergo a medical with City after the two clubs finalized an agreement for the transfer.

Palmeiras has reportedly agreed to sell Reis for a fee of €35 million, with Brazilian media capturing images of the player departing Brazil with his agent on Wednesday evening. Reis was notably absent from Palmeiras’ match against Portuguesa in the Paulista Championship on Wednesday.
Earlier in the week, Sky Sports Germany confirmed that City had reached an agreement with Palmeiras, with the final details of the deal being ironed out.
Palmeiras President Confirms City’s Offer
On Monday, Palmeiras president Leila Pereira revealed to TNT Sports that Manchester City had submitted a formal offer for Reis.
“Manchester City has already made an official offer for Vitor Reis, but it wasn’t sufficient. We are still negotiating,” Pereira said.
“If we receive a good offer, fine, but nothing has been decided yet,” she added.
City’s Race to Finalize the Deal
Manchester City is eager to finalize the signing before other clubs enter the race for the highly-rated defender. Reports suggest that City plans to integrate Reis directly into the first team, rather than sending him out on loan.
Reis’ Background
Reis, whose contract with Palmeiras runs until December 2028, has been part of the club’s senior squad since June 2024. The young defender made 33 appearances across various competitions last season for Palmeiras’ first team and youth sides.
